I lost family in madison county, I can not find them anywhere. I have no death dates and is having a hard time finding location after 1930 I guess they lived , died and that is it. I lived in Tulsa until age 12. When I was 7, my family went to a week-end party at the Illinois river cabin of E. L. Mendenhall, a building contractor in Tulsa, for whom both my Mom and step-father worked. Several of us left our poles out overnight and I was the only one to catch anything, a 14 pound channel cat. March of Dimes Sponsor Request Dear friend, I am again walking and raising money for premature babies. Our walk will begin on April 19, 2008 at 9 am at NEO A&M College I am asking you to sponsor me as I walk for this worthy cause. Imagine a baby who can wear your wedding ring on its upper thigh or on its upper arm. A baby whose fisted hand is size of nickel. In our country over 500,000 babies are orn prematurely each year. Of those we do not know what causes the prematurely for nearly half of them. March of dimes is working to find out the cause for this, March of Dimes funded cure for Polio and has also funded many more such breakthroughs. Grover Cleveland (Former president) had such a premature child her name was "Ruth" (this is where famous candy bar Baby Ruth got its name) (according to March of dimes PR dept.) She was the size of original candy bar and weighed only 2 pounds. Unfortunately she did not survive. She died before her 3rd birthday. My team "Marching for Miracles" is doing all we can to help this cause. Our goal this year is $1000 and we hope you will help us reach this goal. I found today that the Ben Vaughan that was Sheriff in 1904 to 1906 was a grandson of the older Ben Vaughan who was the Sheriff back in the 1800s. This younger Ben was a son of Pleasant Michael Vaughan, who was in turn the son of Ben Vaughan (1815 -1903). Yet this younger Ben did not have a brother named Dalley either, so that part is still a mystery. -- Eddie Davis ec21davis@sbcglobal.net
