I have received word that the Northwest Arkansas reunion of the Robinson Family is scheduled this year for July 15 th in Fayetteville Ark. For exact details and place and time, those interested should contact either Eual McCarty in Springdale at (501) 756-6586, or Rev. H.M. Shipp in Farmington at (505) 267-2130. Olan Watkins
Hi Joe, I'm a descendant of William C. Lynch and his 2nd wife, Mary Mahala White. They were the parents of William Elbert Lynch who married Beulah Stamback. Elbert & Beulah were the parents of Isaac Thurman Lynch who m. Gladys Potts. Ike & Gladys Lynch were my grandparents. The Hickory Grove Church is still standing. Part of the Lynch family reunion is held there every August (1st part at Withrow Park on Sat.). The Hickory Grove Church was part of the Freewill Baptist Church of Christ and was organized in 1886 and the minutes say that in Dec 1887 they met at Daniel Lynch's home. I don't believe the church building was buildt until later, but the minutes don't say when they began using the church. The small cemetery at the church contains the graves of William & Mary Lynch among several other descendants of James & Phoebe Lynch. Your Mat Lynch would have been George Andrew Madison Lynch, brother of Daniel Lynch. Both being sons of George Washington & Martha Catherine (Clark) Lynch. George Washington Lynch a s/o William C. Lynch and his 1st wife, Sarah Trease. I would be very interested in contacting you directly about Mat & Lena's family. I only have two children for them: Mabel b. ca 1901 m. ? Terry; and Cecil Lynch. Would be glad to share anything I have with you. A relative of mine Lena Jane Sharp married Mat Lynch at the Hickory Grove Country Church near Clifty Arkansas in 1900. I would love to hear from anyone in Madison County if this old church is still standing and anything they could tell me about that church. I have enjoyed the many descriptions I have heard on this list on the beauty of Madison County. Thercey Jane Johnson is the only direct relationship to the Johnsons that I have (on my husbands branch). Although I have seen the names in my research that you mentioned, they are not in my database. At best, there would be a distant relationship. Happy hunting!!!! Julie Rogers

They lived in Madison Co., AR in 1860's. Any connect?
