How do I locate information about where they lived or where he was buried? Are there any directories available that list residents? I do not believe he farmed, as he came to Arkansas for his health. Since this all falls in a time line when Fed. Census records are not available (1890), I can't get help there. Is there a state census for 1895, and if so, where can I view that? Is it true that death certificates were not issued in 1899? Also, is there a good library in the area where I might find some information? Wondering if it's worth my time and expense to travel to the Carlisle area, or if that would be futile. Any advice appreciated. (His name was Swan/Swen Paulson).
