Well, Pettus puts them south of Lonoke. It was a farming area. If the man died in the time frame you believe, he may not have a marker as times were so hard. There is a death index book which starts in 1914 and ends in 1948, that should give you his exact date of death. Then you could order his death certificate. There is a lady who does research for folks and is quite good. Write Sherryl Miller at the Lonoke County Museum, PO Box 873, Lonoke, Ar. 72086 You may phone her at 501-676-2496. She will not do e-mail. She will go to the history commission in Little Rock to search. Be sure you write the name or names, the county, a time frame such as after 1920, etc. Believe it or not, she found some stuff for me just last Friday She is a whiz at the old records and is highly respected in our area of the state. Perhaps she can help, but perhaps not. She will expect a donation to the local museum building fund as payment. If you live close enough, you can make arrangements to meet her in the local library and let her assist you. She does that all the time for folks.
