Hi Laurie, Which Buell family are you referring to? My Buells (who married into the Gray family that Gray twp was supposedly named after) were from that area, but I don't recall seeing them in the 1870 census. Elizabeth died before 1880 (James is listed as a widower). I'll keep trying to look for the Bakers. Ed, I just looked at it again and it could be Beall or Beull, it could go either way. Ancestry has it indexed as Beall.
