I would believe just like you do that she is beside her husband. If she died last, there was probably no one to see that it got handled. There is also the possiblity that there was no money for a marker as times were not easy even in 1920. The church records are probably from the headstones there, and if there is not a marker, then you have been told she is not there. The same thing has happened in my family three times and I know for a fact the ladies were buried beside their husbands. So good luck and trust your own judgements. Linda

Her death certificate indictes that she was buried 12 Oct 1920 in Austin Arkansas. No cemetery or funeral home is listed. I have contacted the Sylvannia Presbyterian Church and their records do not indicate that she was burried in their cemetery. Her husband, Rev John Fabian BAKER and one of her sons, John Osgood BAKER are buried in the Sylvannia Cemetery, so that would have been the logical place for her grave. John F and Phoebe Baker were my g grandparents. I have learned of 2 other possible cemeteries - Old Austin and Monk. Does anyone have the address for either of these? Are there any other possibilities? Thanks for any help! Phoebe L Willis Charleston, SC

The same thing happened to my Bayne family. It was Prairie when they arrived in 1869. Then it went to Pulaski and finally Lonoke in 1873. My own family was five miles south of Lonoke so it would have been in that general area.

Hi, Saw your message board post. do you have anything on a Margaret Rea/Ray who is buried in the Weeden Cemetery. I am told that a Motorcycle gang came and destroyed some of the headstones. This lady was my husbands grandmother. Thanks Shirley Reedy ________________________________________________________________ The best thing to hit the internet in years - Juno SpeedBand!
