Hi, I probably can't help, but as you're going east on I 40 and turn left towards Des Arc before you get to De Valls Bluff, Then where the road turns right towards Des Arc, you turn left and there is a cemetery on that road that has some Griffins in it. I have not been there, but I intend to go soon. I am a Griffin/Cotton. My dad was raised in Searcy County, Arkansas. My gg-grandfather had several wives and one of them was a nichels/nichols. I was raised in Lonoke County ( a little town called Keo, ours was the house on the left ) My mother in law lived at Des Arc on a houseboat on the Cache River. All this drivel is not helping you, but I will keep you in mind. My dad had an uncle named John Wesley Griffin but the dates are wrong. Good luck in your search. Bjunenok@wmconnect.com To: ARLONOKE-D-request@rootsweb.com I am looking for information on my g-grandparents, John W. Griffin b. 1870 MS and wife Callie unknown b. 1871 MS. They lived in Holland, AR when their daughter, my grandmother, Minnie Lee Griffin and her brother, John C. Griffin were born 1894 and 1896 respectfully. I've had help locating the death date and place of burial of Callie Griffin/Prowse/Prouse. She was buried in a cemetery named Sharon Cemetery. I'm pretty sure John W. Griffin is buried there also because Callie wasn't buried with the A. Jordon Prowse whom she was married at the time of her death in Oakland Cemetery in Faulkner Co.. If anyone can help me locate the burial place and death date for John W. Griffin I would appreciate it very much. If I have the death date, I can then order birth/death certificates and have verifications for my family tree and trace his roots back to MS and beyond. Thank You Very Much! Dear Cousins, My computer crashed and burned a couple of weeks ago, so I have not been able to read any email for two weeks. If you have sent anything to me during that time, please resend it to this Compuserve address. I am going to be using my old Compuserve address for awhile until I can either get my computer repaired or get a new one. I am using my old relic computer but, since it is running the original version of Windows 95, it won't support the ATT program. Also, since this computer doesn't have Netscape on it, I haven't figured out how to get my ATT email yet, so, as I said earlier, if you have sent me anything in the past two weeks, please resend it. I will be going into the archives to catch up on everything. Thanks for being sweet, and I hope you are all have a very happy and productive year. Hope to have this all worked out very soon. Myra
