My name is Carolyn Murray and I live in San Diego, California. I am descended from S. S. Hampton and Ida Sykes. They were in Logan County from after the CW until after turn of century. I am fairly sure some Hamptons and Sykes (Sikes) families are still there. D. W. Mullins was the father of Sarah Mullins who married T. J. Sykes and were the parents of Ida Sykes who married S. S.Hampton. Keith, Do you have any information on Calloway McCaslin who was married to Victoria Blackburn on November 9, 1882, in Logan Co? He was sometimes called Mont. As a widower he married Martha C. Francis on January 5, 1908. James A. Churchwell, my gg-grandfather, was Calloway's (step)father-in-law and was living with Calloway and Martha in the 1910 census. Any information you have on this family will be greatly appreciated.
