They used to have such a far superior system than they do now that they were strongarmed into taking down the CA birth info (and took down TX birth, marriage, and divorce info too!). Then there is: www.vitalsearch-ca.com which still has the BIRTH index as well. Far less user-friendly, but the only game in town. Most searches free. Is sure to come under fire for still having the CA records up. PLEASE register your support for open records access. --Amy
