Linda, Have just started trying to get the Coleman and Bostick information. I have Newman Coleman's app for SS#, and the information on there said father, Robert A. Coleman and mother was Sallie Bostick. One was from Mississppi and the other was from Georgia. I don't know who her father was but some one from Logan sent me some information and they, Sallie and Robert, were living close to William Bostick. I'll try to find the information and send you a copy. I have the 1900 census coming. Hope to find out for sure if its Sallie or Sarah...:) Jan in Oregon
I have a book on the Robert Coleman family written by Gov.Coleman of Mississippi. My connection was through a great grandmother Dorcas Lucindy McElroy Greenlee Clements. Her mother was Dorcas Coleman McElroy and they lived in Warsaw, Alabama. The descendants of Robert Coleman from Sourth Carolina and Virginia moved to Alabama and Mississippi. Its a good book but it does not have a index. If you think we have a connection get in touch with me privately. Shelia, Was there any mention of a Robert L. Coleman who married Queen Baker 27 December 1868 Catoosa, GA and had the following children - Alonzo Coleman and Minnie Coleman? This Robert L. killed his father-in-law James Baker. At the time of the killing the Bakers and Colemans lived in Arkansas. Thanks for any help, Linda > I have a book on the Robert Coleman family written by Gov.Coleman of Mississippi. > My connection was through a great grandmother Dorcas Lucindy McElroy Greenlee > Clements.
