    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Ames Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/kV.2ADE/1763 Message Board Post: Has anyone ever found the name PALACE AMES? She would be my grandmother but I have reached a brick wall on finding her anywhere. She would probably be found near Paris, Logan County, Arkansas. She was married to Ault Lafayette Freeman, I would think early 1900's. He died in 1945 in California, and she also died in California; both before I was born. Please help! Thanks!

    3. At one time the death records of California were online. I do not know if they still are. I have looked in some of my Franklin Co. Ark., books and find many Freemans. I have probate books, marriage books and census records. I would be happy to copy any of this material for you if it would be of some help. I do not find them in Logan Co., and Its People. You could email the library in Paris and see if they have any record of this family. 2. There is an entry on OneWorldTree which says he died January 6, 1946 in Banning County, California. I have no idea if the ancestry shown is correct. As a minimum, you could order his death certificate from the state of California. Alt L. Freeman, Palace L. and a 16 year old daughter are in the 1930 census of Banning County, California. He was a carpenter and she was a housekeeper. You should be able to find basic information from his death certificate. The wife shows to have been born in Oklahoma and the daughter in California. You should be able to find them in the 1920 census of California. Eldon J.
