Thank you so, I know this may be imposing - I have been looking for Mattie (Martha) the child and wondered if she may be in the marriage record in Short Mountain. Maybe you might have a suggestion how I might find any records of her other then the 1880 census (since we have no 1890). Thank you once more for the prompt and reference information I requested. Hi, Sorry, but there was no Martha (Mattie) listed and unfortunately this book is not broke down by townships, so I don't know how to tell of anyone was from Short Mountain, unless it is listed. The burning of the 1890's census has screwed a lot of us up and made it almost impossible to go any further. I wish I did have some suggestions for you but I am so sorry, I don't have. I don't know if writing to the Logan County Court House would help or not. I do not live there and have no idea how helpful the clerks are. Sorry, wish I could have helped.
