He was born Jan 15, 1889, the son of the late James and Mittia Bates (should have been PATE) Yarbrough of Coal Hill. He was a retired coal miner. Survivors include four daughters, Maxine Drain of Farmington, AR, Mary Knight of Prairie Grove, and Mittia Nickelson and Louise Hoffman, both of Paris; one son, James Yarbrough; 18 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Thursday at Greer Funeral Home chapel, with Rev. Jim Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Prairie View cemetery. Mr Yarbrough was the grandfather of Judy Voorhees of Route 1, Ozark. (Johnson County Graphic-1981) According to the 1957 obituary of his brother, James Claude, Dan lived in Branch, AR. at that time.
