Mrs. Loeta venable, my grandfather W.T. barnett also from paris, ar., worked in the coal mines with his son herman Barnett which was my father. Would it be possible that your Dan knew and worked with them????My father was married in 1922 in Paris and worked at the coal mines there until 1943.Let me know if the Yarbrough's might have known the Barnet's ok?? I wish I knew but unfortunately, I didn't know anything about the family of Dan Yarbrough. Even though he was my father's first cousin, I don't think they ever met each other. Therefore, I didn't even know who his children were until recently. I have sent information regarding my miners to this email address - [email protected] - they take information about coal miners in that area for the miner's memorial in Altus and for their book. If you haven't already submitted your relative, they would probably like to know about him.
