Let me start over on this line Lucy McVay/McVey's parents were Averitte and Lottie Jane Carter. There children were Rebecca, Nancy, Joseph, Lucy, Gillis G. ,G.W. and James W. Lottie Jane Carter McVey was a sister of Patience A. Carter (Patie) who married Joseph Stanford. After she died Joseph married Lucy. They first moved to Clark Co. Alabama then to Franklin County, Arkansas. Lucy died 7 Ssep 1905 and is buried at Kersey. Joseph had children by both wives. Lottie and Patience's father was Giles Carter. The girls were born in Georgia. Mother is unknown to me. Do you think we have a connection?
