John was Mary Jane Cude’s younger brother. This was not the first marriage for either John Cude or Catherine Horner. Henry Ammons was a son of Thomas Ammons Sr. who was a Revolutionary War Soldier in South Carolina. Henry Ammons. He came to Hickman County circa 1810 with his Mother, Catharine (Horner) Ammons and brothers, Thomas, Jr., and Godfrey. Catharine purchased land from John Horner circa 1810.Henry married Christiana (Chaney) Totty prior to 1820. Christiana was the daughter of William Totty Records indicate Henry owned land in the western part of Hickman County. Christiana died in 1835. Henry then married his widowed sister in law, Naomi Whittington Totty. Henry then died in 1837. Henry and Christiana are buried in the Totty Family Cemetery in western Hickman County, Tn. John Cude would have been their stepfather. James Cude (1813) my G-G- Grandfather and the Ammon Boys would ha! ve been Half brothers.
