My great uncle Linord Cameron's family came from Georgia. They settled in Yell county around Havana. Some in Logan. Millard Cameron was his father.
Probably these were cousins to my family. I'm going to forward your message to Ann Harwell Parker is from that line. Thanks for writing.
My great great grandparents moved from NW GA to Johnson/Logan county about 1855. Some of their daughters were already there. Most of the children of my great great grandfather's twin brother moved to the Arkadelphia area about that time and the second family of a younger brother moved to the Foreman area. I don't believe any of them lived in Scott county though. ----- Original Message ----- From: <SundaysChild59@aol.com> To: <arlogan@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, October 24, 2006 5:32 PM Subject: [ARLOGAN] Families from NW Ga who moved to Scott/Logan >I am interested in making contact with anyone whose family moved to > Scott/Logan Co in AR from NW Georgia BEFORE the civil war. Sorry about that sometimes my email jumps. William and Elizabeth Oliff Stanford. His parents were John and Rachael Stanford. John and Rachael were origially from Maryland. They were related to just about everyone in Georgia. There is a large book on the Oliff family. It was once online. I don't know about it now. The other Stanford line is from Tennessee and it has also been researched. Edward Stanford of Maryland has this line . He is nice and will share. The James Stanford line is from Georgia as well. Give me some more information and I will try to connect you to your set of Stanfords.
