I don't have anything on the Parham's except that Benet Franklin Lee was married to Martha Pearl (Polly) Parham. Since Ben was security for this marriage, it would seem A. Hi Carolyn and Keith ~ Thanks for the info on your Hicks line. I visited w/my oldest Hicks descendant aunt who will be 89 this month yesterday. She lives over in Ozark and is the daughter of E.D. "Daily" Hicks. She has been to the Hicks Cemetery MANY times and was born there, however she cannot remember how to get to the cemetery so I will depend on Keith to "get me there" when I drive over. Trying to save up some spare time to devote to spending a day in Booneville sometime next week but will have to see what develops here. If its overgrown and possibility of snakes out and about, then we'll see whether I'm brave enough to descend upon the graves and get snapshots.!! (I'm deathly afraid of them).... What I got from my aunt yesterday is that we are black-Dutch or from German origin, and they came into the U.S. at Philadelphia. Have you heard this before? Of course she couldn't tell me if this was the Hicks, Moon or Maddux line however from my research the Maddux family of Hamilton (James) County TN. was of Welsh descent. It would be great to be able to definitely trace back beyond the first William Hicks who came to Logan County AR. Talk to you again as soon as I know I can get free to drive over. Descendents of Etta Blair Warren said she was buried in this cemetery outside of Ione. I looked at the index for French Prairie Cemetery which is outside of Ione but did not find her their. I am also looking for her parents, Nollie and Martha Blair who were living in Ione in 1900 but have not found them in any of the cemeteries that have been surveyed in Scott and Logan Counties.
