    1. Re: [ARLOGAN] Burial Place In Logan county
    2. Frank Cochran
    3. Most burials in that time frame were not handled by funeral homes. People either made their own caskets or bought one from the local general store or a friend and buried their dead themselves. As late as the early 1940s people did not have to report a death unless the burial was handled by a funeral home, and many deaths went unrecorded for that reason. 3. I am searching for the burial location of ASENATH CINDA EDWARDS. She is enumerated on the 1880 Census in the home of her son in law, George W. Edwards, her daughter Maggie and Maggie's mother M. Norwood. They are residing in what the Census report calls Short Mountain. I realize she may not have a tomb stone or marker. My question is...Are there any funeral homes or undertakers in that area that might have a record of the burial?. Perhaps they took over another business or in some way obtained the records for any burials or services rendered? I think there is a cemetery in that area that has long been there....Is there any way I can find out who might have handled the burials in a time frame of 1880...after the Census was taken to say...January of 1885? Any help or advice appreciated and yes,. I have tried Find A Grave website. J. Lewis

I still am anticipating a visit to the cemetery but it will have to wait until after my class reunion next weekend. Don't want to be chigger bitten or have scratches on my legs for this one.....but AFTERWARDS, I think I'll boogie on over there and get the photos because I think I finally know the way. Well, that is I'll come if gasoline prices keep at this level, but any higher and I think I'm going to boycott some of my extra curricular driving...this Jeep (8 cylinder too!) is just too much of a gas hog for me...I love it but when I get ready to buy a new vehicle next summer it may be a VW Passat, 6 cly. 2. Hi There! I saw on the list of families related to Wolf, that Winn / Wynn was one of the names. I have a Winn/ Wynn that I am tracing. Her name is Emly or Emily or EMMA or Emaline Winn Webb and is Buried in the Kirk Cemetary in Scott County just outside Waldron. Does anyone have a connection or help guide me in the right direction? Her husband is James Webb and they are my GG Grandparents. Thanks so much, Christine ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.

    2. Dorothy Boynton
    3. Friends/Allied Family Members are invited. The Wolf Family Reunion will be held at the Community Building in Salesville, AR on Saturday June 23, 2007. Registration will start at 8:00 AM with family portrait at Wolf House at 10:00 AM and trip to Old Wolf Cemetery at 10:30 AM. A hotdog lunch will be served back at the Community Center at 12 noon with business meeting and program to follow. The "Family History Lesson" will be a great treat this year - so we are keeping the details under wraps for now. We will display the Table of Contents for the digitalized items (1000+) contained in the family history preservation collection. You can find out what we have been able to get scanned, so far, and what the format of the material is, and what the status of the project is. We welcome all member of the family and its allied branches as well as any family friends to come and join us. Be sure to get your star on the family tree, showing your line of connection, if it is NOT already there. We would like a head count of the lunch bunch. So e-mail b-view@centurytel.net to let us know you will be there for that. We would like for you to bring pictures and other documents to share. We will have a scanner available for use. The computer data base will be available for review. We are using the time for a work session to try to get an individual digital portrait as well as an individual video of everyone in attendance. 1. Re: [ARLOGAN] Earl Prairie Cemetery
    2. Carolyn Bradley
    3. My uncle that lives in Booneville, Arkansas says there is an Earl Prarie Cemetery. You go out toward the Carolon Cemetery and when you come to the old grocery store there you turn right and go on up and around the hill. Any old timers in the area can tell you how to get there. My grandparents at one time lived out there and in fact my sister was born at the homeplace at Earl Prairie. They have changed some of the roads in that area but my uncle says it is out there. Now these directions are like coming from Booneville. Hope this helps.
