Hello, List, I keep trying to find someone who is related to John Columbus Holt, who came to Logan County from Wayne County, TN with his mother, Dianah Holt. John and Dianah are both buried at French Prairie Cemetery in Logan County. I would also like to find out if Betty White from Logan County is still living. She had a connection with the Holts through the marriage of one of her sons to (I think) a daughter of John Columbus. I am trying to verify if John Columbus Holt's mother and My great grandmother, Dianah Fowler Holt, from Wayne County, TN, are one and the same. Jo Ann

Dock was born in Jul 1848 in Mississippi. I believe his parents to be Nathaniel and Sarah (maiden name unknown) COBB as was stated by my grandmother, Eva Irene COBB. He married Catherine Belle DEAN in 1880 in Logan Co., Arkansas and later moved to Oklahoma. I cannot find any proof of his parents other than her written word. I have some Fox in my ancestry. They came from David Fox in Illinois originallly and from SC before that but that was in early 1800. David died in Illinois about 1836-37 and his widow came to Arkansas. He had 3 sons I believe, one of which was my great t grandfather. who married a girl by the name of Elizabeth Lee. here was some questions about her. She was living with David's widow and John Bray I seem to remember. I will have to dig out all my Fox stuff. They were killed or at least my gggrandfather was and Elizabeth and 3 daughters walked with an ox wagon back down to Paris or south of there.
