    1. [ARLOGAN] I find it a wondrful book
    2. I think the family land record book put out by Arphax are wonderful.? I own several different counties.? No one book is going to do your research for you.? Families tended to settle near or next door to each other.? Lots can be gleaned from th Arphax books.? No, I have no connection nor do I own stock in that company.? 3. No, she is not talking about "Logan County, Arkansas, Its History and Its People", and this is the second time this advertisement, and it IS an advertisement, for the book she is talking about has been run through our list. I received the book for Christmas. It is okay, but it is not the WONDERFUL source Kathye purports it to be. You can get the same information by searching the land records on line. The nice thing about this book is that owners of the original patents are mapped out for you, and you can see who lived next to or close to whom easily. You cannot connect families with it, and it certainly doesn't tell you who married whom. All it does is show you who owned which land first. I know this is an advertisement because this exact same message has run through two other lists I belong to. 3. Dog tags, My dog tags had the name, serial number, blood type, TB test and religion stamped on them. If the serial # (AF for Air Force) is still readable you can order the military record from Military Records Personnel center in St Louis, MO. The respective services would also have records if the person was KOA. 1. Re: [ARLOGAN] ARLOGAN Digest, Vol 2, Issue 135 PINE LOG CEMETERY
    2. Jo Ann Whitworth
    3. I have a picture of the Pine Log Church which is next to Pine Log Cemetery, as well as a picture of the gate to the Cemetery, which by the way, is one of the most beautiful cemeteries I have ever seen owing to the view of the mountains and valleys in the background. No pictures of the individual gravestones except for one of a Johnny Black, but do have a picture of the cemetery grounds showing many of the gravestones. The pictures are not too clear (due to haze) but if you can pay for postage and return the pictures, I will share them with you, or just send you the negatives if I can find them and you can return the negatives. I will have to look through my "stuff" to find where the Cemetery and Church is located and get back to you if someone else doesn't give you that information. 2. I am a Heathcott too. I am Omer Otto Heathcott's youngest daughter Orva Euvonne Heathcott Harrison. I live in Tulsa Ok . I have so many wonderful memories of Aunt Ludabelle's yard full of flowers and I was always the spoiled brat when Uncle Holl and Uncle Mack (Coy Millard Heahtcott) came to see us. Uncle Mack live with Mother and Daddy the last few years of his life. I was allways his favorite of all the kids and he and Uncle Holl always made sure I got an ice cream cone when we went to town. Aunt Ludabelles husband Uncle Hester was a quite man. I don't remember Aunt Virgie and some of the other sisters but daddy always talked about them. I met Uncle Dick and some of his kids. I met R.E. and one of his sisters just before I moved from home in 1951. That seems a long time and it is over half a century. I would love to know more of my cousins and their family but I am 75 years old almost and have a broken hip. Remember Granny Euna had broken her hip a year or so before she died too. Do they have any relationship to Wedgewood Underwood b 1759 Culpepper, VA, USA; died 04 Mar 1852, Macon, GA, USA? My relationship to the Underwood's is the marriage of Joel Underwood to Lucinda Lovless, Joel was born 1802, Cherokee Tribe, Wilkes, NC, USA and married Lucinda who is the sister of my ggg grandfather Seaborn Lovless, son of Samuel Lovless b 1778, Rutherford, Burke, NC, USA. My great grandparents lived in Short Mountain, Logan, AR in 1880; so that would be my roots in Arkansas, Solomon and Susan Gocher Brown.
