Thanks so much for posting this. According to the 1860 census, there was another son, Columbus, born about 1857. Does anyone have information on him? Johnathan Thomas Springer was my gggrandfather so this information is a big help as there was not much information handed down about the Springers in my family. One of Johnathan's daughters, Nancy Emaline Springer (my ggrandmother) died when my grandmother(Mary Emaline McConnell) was 8 years old. The family had joined a wagon train going West and she died and was buried somewhere in Texas and the family returned to AR. P. Houser is shown in a photo on page 216 of the Logan County Arkansas It's History and It's People. Milton married Mary Adline Anderson. He was born 1857 Arkansas died 30 Aug 1899 of complications following smallpox. Neighbors were so afraid of the smallpox that his body wasn't allowed off his property and is buried there.
