    3. > > >Hi Debbie, >I suggest that the Booneville, AR Oak Hill Cemetery be "Processed" >since years ago I was told at the Booneville library Genealogy Unit, >that the few (about five?), pages are for those interred. But since >then all the current records are kept about the owner of the burial >site only, not who or where a person maybe be buried. Richard, those "owner" records are not exactly accurate. The burial of my uncle before your father's funeral was proof of that. I'm sure you heard of that going on. If my cousin had not been so upset it would have been funny. Once I get back to normal schedule, I'd like to help with the cemetery photos project. I'm sure if no one else is planning to do it, I can do the Bud Davis cemetery in Grayson. I can also work on the Oak Hill cemetery. I may contact the VFW in that area, too. They have a map of some of the really old section, or at least they did at one time. I saw it when I was in my early teens. Anyway, I'm willing to pitch in and help with the project Ann Garner, formerly of Booneville mystique@cei.net

Author: dkayrobinson Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.arkansas.counties.logan/3465/mb.ashx Message Board Post: McKendree Cemetery photos are going online at http://arkansasgravestones.org/ The request for Little Graves please contact me, I have some more pics for you than the one online. Larry Burwell, a kind soul with a big heart, has volunteered to co-coordinate and photograph Logan County Graves so watch for the Arkansas Gravestone Project for Logan County to really take off. All Volunteers would be extremely appreciated, weather photographing or uploading pictures from disks from you home. You don't need to live here to assist with this project. I will also be updating the cemetery listings that we have online at Logan County GenWeb, so kindly submitted by Mildred Collins Wasser, to include the newer graves as well some genealogical information on the persons listed. Please email requests for the next cemetery you would like photographed. If we have more for one than another, I will get that one next. The photographing doesn't take long, the upload process does though. Author: Texola Surnames: Scott Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.arkansas.counties.logan/1658.1.2.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: This is great information. I am working on my husband's computer until mine is fixed but I passed this on to my co-researcher, Elizabeth. She will be able to tell if our Scott's are related, I hope. We did have a dna test done and our Scott matched a Scott family that came from IN to Amite Co, MS to LA. But the match was only on 12 markers and when we both increased to 37 markers, the match fell apart, which means we are not related in a close time era. We could not find a family connection with these Scott's although we were raised in the same town. The mother of the lady I emailed about these Scott's was a Scott from this line and she married a Cooper. They did not have much information on their Scott's. There was a James William Scott born about 1820 in IN who married Mourning Curry and they traveled to Amite Co, MS where he died. The mother took their two boys and moved to LA where she died. The boys were raised by relatives. One, at lease, was in the Civil War and lived and is the ancestor of this family. I believe his name was William O. Scott and he was born about 1840's. I will email you with more information. Thanks for your help! Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
