Shirley, Here is the information we discussed: Narcissa Hurt b. 7 Feb 1845 Polk Co., MO d 14 Jan 1926 Logan Co. Ar. buried Carolan Cemetery near Booneville, AR Listed with her Hurt family as "Narcissa 14, b. MO" on the 1860 Scott Co. Tumlinson Twp. census. by 1863 - 1864 Married #1 a Nixon (possibly James G. Nixon, but no proof) Two children born. Amanda J. Nixon b. July 1865 and unknown child (died as infant) There is a James G. Nixon listed on Confederate Arkansas Troops 1st Batt'n Arkansas Cavalry. But it isn't known if this is the James G. Nixon above. 1870 Census Carroll Co Crooked Creek Twp. Narcissa Nixon 27 years, b. MO and A. J. Nixon (Amanda J.) 5 years old, b. AR were living with the John Nixon family. In 1860 the John Nixon family had a James G. Nixon 17 listed with it. Speculation that James G Nixon was away or possibly dead and the Narcissa was living with his family. Narcissa married #2 Henry Gorham and was listed on the 1880 census with him and his children from his first marriage. Amanda J. Nixon married Emmet Fenoy Harwell 11 Jan 1885 Logan Co., AR. Amanda was b. July 1865 and d. 15 July 1939. Narcissa Hunt Nixon Gorham lived with Amanda and Emmet from 1900 until her death in 1926. She is buried Carolon Cemetery. Shirley, I would very much like to have the material you offered. Nona **************New year...new news. Be the first to know what is making headlines. Dear Scott, I remember some Moons that lived around Blue Mountain. I can't remember Mr. Moons first name just now but I believe they are connected to the Loyd family in some way. I'll have to do a little research on it to refresh my memory. Also, another relative of mine, Mary Ann Loyd married Benjamin Franklin Maddux so both these names are connected to my family. I also have relatives buried in Old Union Cemetery. My Great Uncle Everett Loyd and his wife Lottie.
