Author: joshuabethany Surnames: box Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.arkansas.counties.logan/3509/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I am trying to find the burial location of a triple great Uncle in Logan County Arkansas. Most of the family is buried at McKendree Cemetery, but I have no way to tell if either John A. Box of Charlie Virgil Box were buried their as well. I was curious if someone had access to records that could possibly help me out. I know he was born 1874 in Missouri, and lived to be at least 83. His last known location was Logan county. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Josh Bethany Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Author: karenweir52 Surnames: GRIFFEY McCORMACK SEABOLT Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.arkansas.counties.logan/3508/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Am seeking information on Ben G. Griffey, born September 1855 in Tennessee and his wife Adella, ( some census says her name is Adam ) born abt 1865 Illinois. I find them both up to the 1930 census in Booneville, Logan Co, Arkansas. They had a daughter Gertrude "Gertie" Griffey, born April 1889 Ark, I did not find dates of death for the parents, and am assuming that they died in Arkansas. Gertie married a man by the name of Fred Dalton McCormack, born April 23,1880 in Booneville, I do not know when he died but think it was probably in Logan County, Arkansas and his registration card shows he states his wife's name is Gertie,I find no marriage date for them. They had two sons, all I know is their names Fred and Billy or Billie McCormack. Assuming Fred Sr died, Gertie McCormack remarried Marcus A. Seabolt, born Jun 27, 1874 Dahlongia Ga, died July 15, 1938. I also searched for their wedding date and find nothing. Mr Seabolt moved about a lot so there is no telling. Any clues ! to this mysterious bunch would be appreciated. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Euia and my mother Lora Irene were sisters. I have fond memories of Euia when she came to Calif to visit my mother before her passing. Euia was a sweet lady and always treaty me with great kindness. We have found alot on the Cottingham family back through the late 1500's and are trying to verify all connections. But we are missing a lot on the William, Mann and Smith sides of the family. We would be happy to share what we have with you and maybe you could help us also. We have also had recent contact with Bruce Cottingham who is the grandson of William Harrison Cottingham.
