I have done exactly what you said to do and it has not done any good. I even wrote a letter of complaint. All I got from Ancestry was a letter telling me that they would cancell my subscription after the effective date. Good luck getting them to do anything!

    1. World War I Records for Logan County, AR
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: SCOTT, MAXWELL, FROST, THOMPSON, NAUMAN, SELF, MORAVA, ARTER, HIXSON, MCCOMBS, RAYL, DORROUGH, YOUNG, MOORE, STONE, LOYD, FRIDDLE, MORRIS, STREET, BAILEY, MING, OWENS, PIKE, BROWN, HARGER, POTTS, HUTCHINS, TANNER, EZELL, HICKS, BECK, SKAGGS, JOBE, etc.... Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/kV.2ADE/1784 Message Board Post: ..I have come across a major problem within the ancestry.com records for the WWI Logan County, AR records. When a person wants to view the actual images of these records, these are NOT available for viewing. I have sent many many requests & complaints over the last year to have this problem cleared up. I was advised from ancestry that each invididual record has to be submitted with all the info pertaining to ones ancestor(s) BEFORE they can fix this "minor" problem(s). The roll numbers for these records are 1530474 and 1530475, Logan County only. I have been able to access all other counties with no problems. If you are researching your ancestor(s) from Logan County and come across their WWI registration card(s) and you want to view the actual record, you can NOT!!! Please sumbit that "error processing image request" page with your ancestors info so ancestry will get this fixed. The easiest way to do this is: Find your ancestor(s) info page; then highlight from the words "World War I down to the Roll #"; right click & copy the info; click on the words "view image" under the miniature actual document; the next page will come back & state "error processing image request"; on this page in the top right corner, click on the words "having problems viewing image"; once this is done, a new box will appear stating "Report an Error". Scroll down and click on the "image missing" category; in the Description box, right click your mouse & paste your info into this box; click submit; click close box. ***This will have to be done for every single one of your ancestors for Logan County.*** I have submitted more than 300 requests (as I do many look-ups for others), without results other than to advise me of the above just last week. I have spoken to them on the phone and was advised it would be taken care of, at least 40 times over the last year! I believe if they receive enough complaints from other paid subscribers, they may get this taken care of. These records are crucial for genealogists, as they contain lots of important info. Thank you for reading this and taking the time to submit these requests... Logan County Researcher, Smiley :-))

They must have moved to a different township. John was still alive by the 1920 census. Noah who was 10 yrs. old on the 1910 wasn't on the 1920 with John. Hope this helps some. Kaye

    1. Sarah Basham/Bassham
    2. Linda Crawford
    3. I would like to contact anyone with information on the family of Sarah Basham who is on the 1880 census of Logan County. I believe her to be the same as Sarah Bassham, wife of William John Bassham, in 1870 in Dallas County MO. Names, dates, etc are correct. William was murdered in Dallas County in 1871. I have some on this incident and would like to be able to solve it. Why did the family go to MO and then return to AR. A daughter also named Sarah married Lorenzo Davis in Dallas County in March of 1871. They are in nearby Franklin County AR in 1880. Anything on any of them would be appreciated. Linda Crawford.

    1. 1910 US Census column
    2. Hello everyone! I have a question about a column on the 1910 US Census that states "Whether a survivor of the Union or Confederate army or navy." My gg-grandfather, David Barnett Jr., has a CN in this column. Would this be Confederate Navy? Or something else? The other men on the same page just have N, supposedly for No. David was living in Fannin County, TX when this census was taken, but he was born in Scott County, later Logan County, AR and lived there during the Civil War. He would have been 13 at the start of the war. Did the Confederacy recruit for the navy in AR or just the army? Any ideas or suggestions? FYI - In a previous email, I had discussed the column for denied vote on the 1870 US census. My ggg-grandfather and David Jr.'s father, David Barnett Sr., had this column checked, but David Jr. did not have a check. He was 22 years old in the 1870 census. I'm stumped and not sure where to go with this CN issue. Your previous emails about the 1870 census column have been very helpful. Thank you!
