(Walnut Ridge). In particular I am looking for Shrilda (or Serilda) McLAIN, daughter of James D (Drew I think) McLAIN, who was a son of James D., who was a son of Squire and wife Melinda Caroline HARDIN, and Squire was a son of Charles McLAIN and wife Perlina---first found in Lawrence County, Strawberry top, AR on the 1850 census. Squire and wife, and below them son James D. and a wife Lizzie are on the 1900 census in Lawerence County. This James D. also was married I think to a Josie. This James D. also named a son James D., b 1890 AR. The name Serilda / Shrilda was given to a daughter of Squire's and Melinda's, and it was given to a daughter born to Squire's grandson James D. (Drew) McLAIN( b1890) and wife Amanda. James D. b 1890 AR and wife Amanda b 1893 AR who proably married 1914-1915 in AR were on the 1930 census in Arkansas > Lincoln > Star City > District 7, Cane Creek township. I am hoping to find this line from James D.McLAIN / McCLAIN and wife Amanda's daughter Shrilda / Serilda McLAIN born about 1922 in AR, who was 8 years old on the 1930 census in Lincoln County AR--- this line may have also been in Hot Springs. This McLAIN / McCLAIN line came from (99% proven) from Weakley County, TN line most likely from NC before that, and were in KY and IL, as well as TN, some to AR and some to MO.. Children of Charles McLAIN, b about 1805 TN or IL and wife Perlina Unknown (maybe also McLAIN)---Thier children--Siblings of Squire are: Christianna, b about 1830 TN; David b about 1832 TN; John Henry b about 1835-37 TN; Squire b Nov. 1842 TN; and in Lawrence Co, AR--William California b 1853 near Walnut Ridge. Christianna married James SMITH in AR; DAvid married Susan E. MULLENS / MULLINS, he died circa 1855-60 and Susan remarried Wm. FLETCHER; John Henry (my gg grandfather) married Sarah Catherine AGEE b 1842 TN; and Wm. California married several times---Ellen and perhaps also Martha FRY, maybe DENT, and finally to Nancy Saphronia MEAD. Any help appreciated. Audrey Williams Stanaland
