I'm looking for someone who lives close to or visits the Carolan Cemetery to check the inscription on the headstone of Belle Stauss. The information on line for her is as follows. CAROLAN CEMETERY LOCATED ON ROUTE 23 SOUTH OF BOONEVILLE, LOGAN COUNTY, ARKANSAS. CEMETERY WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1860 AND IS IN GOOD SHAPE. FAIRLY WELL MAINTAINED WITH DONATIONS. THERE ARE SOME UNMARKED GRAVES BUT HAVE ONLY DISCOVERED FEWER THEN TWELVE GRAVES MARKED WITH FIELD STONES. SURVEYED AUGUST 15TH, 1998 BY MILDRED COLLINS WASSER. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- DATE OF DATE OF NAME BIRTH DEATH SPOUSE PARENTS Stauss, Belle 1911 ? There is also a Stauss, Linzy Laster 1901 1913 which is I believe accurate. The information shown for Belle is not correct as I believe she died in 1911. If whomever goes and looks, there is no information on the cemetery listing about where these two headstones are, so I suggest finding whomever is the caretaker and see what information he/she might have that would make them easier to find. If whomever does this has a digital camera I would appreciate you taking pictures of the two headstones and e-mail them to me. I'll be happy to pay for your time and expenses to do this. I don't have the exact date of her death but it was sometime between Oct. 1912 and Nov. 1917.Her husband was Miller Horne and I think she may have been liveing somewhere around Old Blaine when she died but it could have been anywhere in Arkansas. Sara, I looked in my book (1877-1924) and did not find a marriage of a David BARNETT to a Minerva KNOX. I did have a David BARNETT to a Ella HARTGRAVES but it was in August of 1899.
