Not related to Finis that I'm aware of. My "line" is from Lick Creek and goes like this J.W. Godfrey W.W. Godfrey W.C. Godfrey (what's with the initials already...?!) Ramon Godfrey ME! Turns out my parents don't have a picture of the Bluebird, but they did remember it. It was near the center of Booneville, on 10, somebody said the North side of the highway, my folks thought that was right. It wasn't there when we lived there from '74 to '79. My grandparents, Patsy POINTER & Alfred Fletcher SISEMORE were married in Booneville in 1909. Patsy was born in Sugar Grove, Logan Co. in 1889 Lavonna
At one time there was a small motel called the Blue Bird Motel in Booneville. I am fairly certain it was on Hi 10. I also think this is the motel that my husband's father, E. H. Harwell, pointed out to me on one of our trips to Booneville; saying he did the construction work on it in the mid - 1940s. My parents-in-law left Booneville by 1947-48; so I know it was built before then. I looked through their pictures; but didn't find a picture of the Blue Bird. Note to D. Eureka Springs is nowhere near Booneville...it's about an hour away from Branson, MO. However it's a really pretty spot to stay in!! I don't remember a Bluebird Motel in Booneville... If it exists, it would be a (AC 479) 675 phone number.
