Here is a little blurp (below) about the formation of Logan County. You might check a neighboring county. Neither surname appears in marriage records of 1877-1924. "Originally called Sarber County when formed in 1871, Logan County was renamed in 1875 in honor of early pioneer James Logan who participated in the first territorial and state legislatures. Logan County was formed from Johnson, Yell, Scott and Franklin Counties. ....There were courthouse fires in 1874 and 1877."

Looking for information on my Hibbs line.. My gg grandfather was Sylvester Hibbs TX 1855 - 1897 he married Nancy Malissa Jane Hibbs ARK 1860-1940. They were living in Sebastian Co Ark on the 1880 census and moved to Indian Territory before Sylvester's death. And Higgs line Nancy's parents were Elisabeth Higgs daughter of William Higgs and Margaret (Unknown last name) and Tom Tickaneesky (Cherokee) son of Charles Tickaneesky and Nancy Easky. William Higgs born VA abt 1800 unknown death date. I do not have any information on Margaret she died sometime before 1870 I think. The family was living in ARK on the 1850 census.
