Teressa, I could be wrong on this, however, I believe Sylvester Workman/Wortman was out of the Wortman line of Searcy County, Arkansas. Many of them along with other related family lines, moved down into Logan County, and on into Haskell County, Okla. I may be confused..........I stay that way. The only connection I have to Workman/Wortman is thru Charity Wortman who married E. B. Jameson in Searcy Co., Ark. They lived and died in Indian Territory, now Haskell County, Oklahoma. My great great aunt and uncle. Shelia, Was there any mention of a Robert L. Coleman who married Queen Baker 27 December 1868 Catoosa, GA and had the following children - Alonzo Coleman and Minnie Coleman? This Robert L. killed his father-in-law James Baker. At the time of the killing the Bakers and Colemans lived in Arkansas. The Arkansas Death Index for 1914-1923 does not list a Joan Mills by any spelling. There is a Mills with no first name listed who died in Logan County. The death date is 3/12/1923 There are three other Mills who died in Logan County doing that time. They are: Erastis Mills 7/20/1919; William E 12/11/1917; William M. 4/13/1914 Cemeteries are not given in this publication.
I am looking for anything on a Joanna Mills. I know she died in Logan County. She did live with her son Roger Mills. Joanna/Joann died in the 1920/30 time frame. Roger lived in Paris. any help would be appreciated....anything. I cannot seem to find where she died. Roger died in 1970 and is buried in Branch. Thanks Verna Eichhorn
I am looking for Elizabeth C. Jones, daughter of John William Jones and Elizabeth Eddy. She married Andrew Welch. They had four children and he died in 1879, probably in Scott County, Arkansas. A letter from my grandmother's aunt says Elizabeth married a Pyles after Andrew's death. Her sister Mary "Polly" Jones married William Mays. William and Polly had four children that I know of: Thomas Alfonso, Matilda Elizabeth (probably named after Polly's sister Matilda), William L., and Martin Van Buren. -------------------------------------------- I also have these notes but not sure if they apply to my Jones: Jones, Mary E. Will dated: 20 January 1908, gives land and possesions to William Lee Pyles. EXPARTE PETITION OT PROBATE WILL, A.G. Leming, attorney for petitioner. PROOF OF WILL, W.P. Piles, 25 years old states that he had known Mary E. Jones ever since he was old enough to remember, that she was a distant relative. Testimony indicated she owned over a 100 acres of land, had no money in the bank, and had two or three head of cattle at the time of her death, 8 April 1908. Mary E. Jones died about the first day of June according to testimony of R.J. Presley who had known her all of his life. He mentioned the last time he saw her she was coming from Dr. Campbell's office. Will was determined legal and probated. Filed: 2 September 1908. Will Record Book A pages 166 thru 174. No proof this is our Mary, but note from a cousin indicates she moved close to her sister who married a Pyle. "After Uncle Andy Welch's death she married a Pyle (referring to Elizabeth C. Jones) and moved to Booneville (in Logan County) where her sister Polly Ann lived." Any help would be greatly appreciated, Barbara Hale Reynolds I am descended from the brother of Polly, Matilda and Elizabeth - Levi Bauze Aday Jones.

This thing is weird. One of my neighbors forwarded an email to me where someone had called Norton about it(Virus?). It claimed that Norton said they knew of nothing of any such virus. An old Navy buddy sent me an email and said it was stopped by his McAfee Virus program. Virus or not twice my Norton has intercepted something which I quarantined and deleted. Is it possible it attached to our GenWeb lists? I haven't been able to pin point a source for this problem. If is is a virus then it came through on an email someone sent who didn't have a virus scanner and was unaware of how to handle viruses. I just play it safe. If my virus checker catches something I delete. I never saw an icon on any inbound email for an attachment that may have been the virus. Back in January I suffered for a crahes month due to my then McAfee Virus scanner not catching an incoming virus. The end result was two trips to the Gateway Store and being out of service for about two weeks. Afterward I switched to Norton which I find to be a much better program. Thanks Jack, I've received a lot of emails offering a clean-up of this virus, most I've deleted, is that possibly part of the virus. Several had a blue link in them, others had an attachment. I have a book on the Robert Coleman family written by Gov.Coleman of Mississippi. My connection was through a great grandmother Dorcas Lucindy McElroy Greenlee Clements. Her mother was Dorcas Coleman McElroy and they lived in Warsaw, Alabama. The descendants of Robert Coleman from Sourth Carolina and Virginia moved to Alabama and Mississippi. Its a good book but it does not have a index. If you think we have a connection get in touch with me privately. Watch for a virus named; [email protected] pbgputtg[1.] 2.05 kb Source may be: lanevictoryship.com that has sent by emails information about a restored WW2 Victory tours. You may not have to open it for it to attach to your outbound emails. Look for the attachments and delete the email. Although I didn't open it I did read the email on the Victory ship restoration a few days back and deleted the email. Today I received a rejection notice on an email from a server that I did not send to. Jack
Linda, Have just started trying to get the Coleman and Bostick information. I have Newman Coleman's app for SS#, and the information on there said father, Robert A. Coleman and mother was Sallie Bostick. One was from Mississppi and the other was from Georgia. I don't know who her father was but some one from Logan sent me some information and they, Sallie and Robert, were living close to William Bostick. I'll try to find the information and send you a copy. I have the 1900 census coming. Hope to find out for sure if its Sallie or Sarah...:) Jan in Oregon
I'm not trying to be smart, but I thought the only way we could get a virus is if we downloaded something, so I've been very careful not to open any attachments I'm not sure about. Am I wrong?
