    3. The Arkansas State TB Sanitarium officially started in 1910 and closed in 1973. All of its records were transferred to the Arkansas Dept of Health and placed in a repository under the supervision of the Logan County Health Dept in Booneville. (from the book "Logan County Arkansas its History and its People"). Most not all people went to a warm/hot dry climate like Arizona when they had TB to recuperate. Jim G Fresno Calif

    1. [ARLOGAN] Arkansas TB Sanatorium
    2. Cindy McKean
    3. A few years back I contacted my local legislator about the Sanatorium and how to obtain records on patients. I was told that some records do exist. Lanelle Christie of Booneville advised that she does not have all records because, prior to the closure of the Sanatorium in the 70's, some records on patients dead 10 or more years had been destroyed. Also, a fire at the Sanatorium in the 30's destroyed many of the records. To obtain this information, a release of information from the next of kin is required and must include the deceased's name, date of birth, and date of death (if known). Requests should be mailed to Ms. Christie at 838 East 8th Street, Apt. 5, Booneville, AR 72927 Good luck. Cindy __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? 3. There are two Ellington cemeteries. "Ellington Cemetery" and "Ellington Family Cemetery". I did not find Julia Rose Pridmore in either list. Perhaps she was missed or did not have a headstone. 2. I checked th Arkansas Death Record Index for 1914-1923 and there is no Workman by that name listed. There was a Maud Workman listed who did in Scott County during that time. Scott being a county adjacent to Logan. Mary Frances
