    3. Carolyn Murray, I looked through my notes but didn't find anything on S. S. Hampton and my Hampton family. I descend from Samuel Ferdinand Hampton (b: 1824 TN) and Martha Elizabeth Terrell. Was curious if you knew where S. S. Hampton came from before moving into Logan Co. Thanks, Keith Sanderson

They were mostly in Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Arkansas, Oklahoma and California. This is not to say that some of them I have no record of might have gone to Louisiana. Good luck = Bill

    3. My name is Carolyn Murray and I live in San Diego, California. I am descended from S. S. Hampton and Ida Sykes. They were in Logan County from after the CW until after turn of century. I am fairly sure some Hamptons and Sykes (Sikes) families are still there. D. W. Mullins was the father of Sarah Mullins who married T. J. Sykes and were the parents of Ida Sykes who married S. S.Hampton. If anyone can comment I would be most grateful. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Loren Orvik" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Saturday, July 13, 2002 1:02 AM Subject: [ARLOGAN] HOPE, SANDERSON, NELSON, etc. > My name is Keith Sanderson and I live in Sebastian Co., AR. > > Some of the families I am researching in Logan Co. are: > > HOPE, SANDERSON, NELSON, KIMES, HICKS, HAMPTON, TURNER, McCASLIN > >
