I am not from LR Co, my dad is. I am not too good with the geography, either. Wallace is sw of Alleene. There is no straight shot to get there from Wallace, the roads form somewhat of a triangle. Picture Alleene at the top of the triangle and Wallace in the middle of the bottom. Alleene is in Burke TWP, the one east is Lick Creek. So, they are close. I have seen Wallace in Jackson TWP 1910 & 1920. As a matter of fact, the Sophronia Froney Johnson that married the Mauldin and then the Lowery was living next door to my great granparents in the 1920 Jackson TWP census. I have family I can not find on 1870 and 1930, but have not had a problem running them down in the other census. I have tried searching for these Johnsons just using first names, places of birth and age, using wildcards on the names, etc. I think they were probably all living close and the enumerator happened to miss that certain area. I was doing some looking earlier for Glenda Skidmore on Henry Johnson b ca 1856. Looks as if he was son to Larkin b ca 1803 GA. Some of Larkins kids were b IN & IL. Makes me wonder if BF maybe was one of his. Larkin was in Sevier Co 1850 & 60. There was an elder Larkin in AR too b 1788.
