There is a marriage for JW Mize to ME Phillips in Lamar Co Mar 4 1890. Looking at the 1880 census for Missouri b 1869 and James b 1864, they could be the parents of Carrie and the ones who married in Lamar Co. I found the marriage at www.familysearch.org and also at the Lamar Co TX site on usgenweb. There is a desc of James Mize' elder sister, whose email is jewell@brightok.net.
