He was Louis Doerr in Chicago (1880)with parents Ludwig and Gertrude both b Prussia. Made sense to me because of birth places for the Dore children's father was Il or Ger on the census and also because of Jane being Jane Gertrude. I went on to find Louis died in 1907 in Chicago. Could not find him in the 1900 census tho. Don't think JB Dorough is the right one for being the father of the children. I can not see the image of the license, or there is not one, but the description for Mary L Duncan is "Mrs". On the AR Prior Births, there is JAMES Gertrude Dore(mthr Lou Duncan) b Jun 17 1896 LR Co. I knew I had seen her as James Gertrude someplace but had forgotten where. To order this(maybe her father is named): Year 1958,binder 1, Volume 020, Certificate 3834. There is also one for Gracie Jane Johnson. This may be a great find as her mother is named Lucretia EVELINE Duncan b Nov 10 1899 LR Co. Year 1958, Binder 1, Volume 024, Certificate 4767. Those are the only 2 I see for Lou. Since Lou's family moved to OK could she have married Dore there? Could be a long shot but there are newspapers for that time frame in the lib at Ashdown and aslo as the archives at Old Washington. There just may be a mention of Dore's death.
