Alexander Brown-born 24 Dec 1803 Chatham Co, NC-twin of Andrew Brown Jr.  They were sons of Andrew Brown, Sr -- possibly about 1760-1819, believed born in Scotland, died in Chatham Co, NC. He married Mary McLaughlin, probably in Chatham County. It's believed Alexander died "after 1859 while farming near the Red River in Arkansas." That's according to a family story and little else is known about him. He may have lived for a time in northern Mississippi, in Marshall, Tippah or Pontotoc County. No info on a wife.    Alexander may have been the father of Alexander Brown--no "junior" listed --about 1825-about 1874. He is believed born in Chatham Co, NC and died in Lincoln Co, Ark...married Mary Ann Chamberlain in 1852 in Pontotoc Co, MS.
