He probably lived nearby Rocky Comfort, which is now present day Foreman, Arkansas. I do not find him in any census, but he was married to a women named Nancy. Her last name is perhaps Morris, but I am not sure about that. This information comes from another researcher. The surname Morris may be inaccurately assumed from another record of Richard Whitney of Independence, and Izard counties. W. (Wade?/Walter?) Whitney married (early 1850's) Nancy after her first husband William Sickles died. W. Whitney is listed in the 1860 Sevier county, Arkansas mortality schedule as having died of a Rising (an abcess of some kind) age 33, born in Missouri. Nancy, and children are listed in the 1860 Sevier county, Arkansas census. I have not found anything else on Ancestry.com that would tell me more about W. Whitney. This is my ggg-grandfather.
