I’m wondering if anyone has any knowledge of the Harbin family of Little River County. My 2nd great grandfather William Lou Harbin married his third wife Mary Jane Holland Brazil Genkins there in 1891. He was previously married to my 2nd great granny Samantha Jackson Harbin and following her was Mary Ellen Maze….and there may be another between those two. He married a whole lot! His third wife was Eliza Jane Raines Raines Harbin Cunningham Tucker. He is related to Young R Harbin of Cerrogordo. I have much more information on this family and am willing to share it. I would like to connect with others who have connections to this family. Thanks! Amy Harbin Jordan

I like to research and find old railroad things. I know that in Little River County the former Frisco(MP&G) depot still exists with the drover caboose on display outside. There is also the depot at Wilton which has been moved and is/was a residence. There also used to be a place of lodging out by Millwood Lake that was made up of railroad boxcars. Are there any other railroad "artifacts" that exist in the county? A caboose or old passenger car perhaps being used for another purpose? A depot or other railroad structure that has been moved away from the tracks? Thank you for any information.

You gave me some info I did not have. Paca is my 2nd great grandfather on my dad's side. I am working on my family history and want to tell my dad more about his family. My dad was born in 1927 so he never met Paca. He did know his grandfather William Henry Treadway. It would be wonderful to get a hold of Paca's will. There is a family rumor that Paca had 7 wives and lots of children. I have not found that money children, but it seems 4 wives. There seem to be a couple of "widows" while he/Paca is still alive. Hummm... Thank you for your assistance! Cathy Treadway Percefull Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
