Mr. Boyce Emerson Fletcher, 68, a farmer in Lincoln County for 50 years, died on October 30, 1996 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Mr. Fletcher, a resident of Gould, Arkansas, was born on July 8, 1928, the son of the late Rex Emerson and Lillie Fletcher. Member of Gould Methodist church, served honorably in the Arkansas National Guard for 31 years, retired as Col., a member and Master Mason of Delta Lodge #752, Gould, served on Board of Pastor Relations Gould Methodist Church, Past President of the Lincoln County Farm Bureau, served as Lincoln County Judge for four years, served on the Lincoln County Quorum Court for six years, served on the board of the Jodi Partridge School, taught school for three years, member of Star City Chamber of Commerce. Also a member of the Reserve Army Officers Association. He was preceded in death by a son, Boy Fletcher, a daughter, Lorrie Fletcher; four brothers, Herman Fletcher, Rue Fletcher, Hootie George Fletcher, Harold Fletcher and a sister, Barbara Spurlock. Funeral services will be held Nov. 1, 1996 at 10:30 a.m. in the Griffin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Maddox and Chaplain Wilson Deese, followed by interment in Dark Corner Cemetery. Survivors are his wife, Myra Fletcher and a son, Matthew Fletcher, both of Gould, Arkansas; a daughter and son-in-law, Alana and Rev. Tim Maddox, and grandson, Seth Emerson Maddox all of Louisvile, Kentucky; brother Joe Fletcher, and five sisters, Ruby Gregory, Norma Partridge, Helen Mallard, Bermell Hoover and Nina Bradshaw; mother-in-law, Mrs. Sam Blackwell; step parents-in-law, Mr Sam Blackwell and Mrs. Eleanor Craig; father, Jimmie Lee Craig deceased.
