Hello, Martha! It looks as if we are researching the same families! My Grandmother Rial is Wilma Avery Rial from McGehee. Her mother's name was Mazie Emma Heflin, b. 10/20/1893 in Star City, AR; d. 12/1/1989 in McGehee, Desha Co., AR. Her parents were Edward Milton HEFLIN and Mary Cathrine "Mollie" WHITEHEAD. Mary Cathrine "Mollie" WHITEHEAD's parents were James WHITEHEAD and Matilda HEFLIN WHITEHEAD. >From what I know so far, Edward Milton and Mary Cathrine "Mollie" HEFLIN had the following children: Walter, Port, Clyde, Frank Roe, Mazie Emma, Inez Vernettie, Genettie Jewel "Geneva", Alfred Wiley, and Edward James. Children of James WHITEHEAD and Matilda Heflin WHITEHEAD were: Mary Cathrine "Mollie", Sally, Ida, Ginnie, Emma, Porter, Tom, John, and Wiley. Matilda HEFLIN WHITEHEAD was the daughter of Stokley T. HEFLIN from what I can tell. I am not sure of her mother's name. Most of the research I have done has been through visiting with family members and over the Internet. I have been researching about 12 families for 2 or 3 years now. All of it is rookie research!! Would love to visit with you.
