Someone on this list is researching this family...... Arkansas Gazette Jan 7, 2000: Star City - Rubin Grady Haygood, 86, of Star City, died Wednesday at St. Vincent Medical Center in Little Rock. He was born on Jan. 20, 1913, at Jersey, Ark., (Bradley County) to the late Rubin Virgil and Jessie Lee McDougald Haygood. Mr. Haygood was a barber in Star City. He retired at the age of 90. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Star City and a 32 degree Mason Branchville Lodge in Star City. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Lena Gertrude Porter Haygood of Star City; a son, Bill Haygood of Little Rock, two daughters, Glenda Fish of Little Rock and Ginger Hart of Star City; a brother, R.V. Haygood of Rogers; three sisters, Johnnie Mac Byers of Kansas City, Mo., Lois Vines of Little Rock and ruth Ellen Meeks of Mt. Home, Ark.; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. the family will be at the funeral home for visitation Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at Griffin Funeral Chapel with Brother R.V. Haygood and Brother Don Borland officiating. Burial will be at Drake Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Funeral Service of Star City. Pallbearers will be Steve Lovett, Malvin Moore, Homer Cogbill, Havis White, James West, Tex Goodwin, Dayton Fish, Bobby Beard, Donald Drake and Shorty Lyle. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
