Help needed: Obits for two of my great uncles state that they were both born "near Petit Jean Mtn." but not exactly where. I've searched all around and in-between the rocks of Conway Co. and I can't seem to find *anything* on this Conrad family in the late 1800s. Does anyone have a clue as to another county that might border Petit Jean Mtn. or perhaps an idea of something that I'm missing? It's possible that the same person gave the same misleading birth information for both of my relatives but it's one of the few, elusive clues that I have to cling to. I have found Luvenia and Henry Clay Conrad (their newly married parents) in the 1880 Lincoln Co. census; the children surface again in Desha Co. after 1900 but not the parents.
