There will be a dedication service at Holly Springs Cemetery tomorrow (Sept. 29, about 3:30). by the United Daughters of the Confederacy and Sons of the Confederacy and family of John D. Brown, Civil War veteran ...... (newly installed Civil War Monument). If you know of anybody that is related please pass the word. His family included Brown, Wilks, Ludlams, Dopsons, O'Neel, and Bush, Vick, Scott, Matthews, and many others who married into the family, like Chance, Lael, Longcrier, . We will talk about family history as well as have the dedication. This family was one of the early ones in Lincoln County. Murlene Barrett Degges , a greatgranddaughter of the one being honored.
