    1. [ARLINCOL] Fw: Mann family
    2. Robert Majors
    3. To whom it may concern My x-wife was Brends Sue Mann, we have one child, Craig Majors. Brenda's father is Bennie W. Mann; her grandfather was James Robert Mann of Monticello, AR. Are you related to this Mann family? Two female third or forth cousins of mine married Mann's in Drew/Lincoln Co.in 1871. Aurelius Mann married Cintha Carolyne Majors and Eugene M. Mann married Martha Majors. The only Mann that I can find on the 1860 AR Drew Co. census is A.M. Mann of Mill Creek Twp(presently Lincoln Co.). There is a Charles Mann listed on the 1870 AR Drew Co. census living in Smith Twp.(presently Lincoln Co.) My question to you is, do you possibly know who the children of the above couples were? And/or know who the father of James Robert Mann b.May 29, 1888 d.Sept 11,1970 in Monticello, AR. would be. Robert Majors rmajors@alltel.net

    1. [ARLINCOL] Funeral homes in Lincoln Co.
    2. Dianne Ingram
    3. Does anyone know of a fairly popular funeral home in Lincoln County? Maybe Star City? that would have records in the early 1900's? I'm still looking for clues on my hubsband's grandpa James Henry Ingram b: 17 MAR 1864 in Effingham Co., Il. d: 27 JUL 1908 buried: Tyro Cemetery with a Woodman of the World tombstone. OR Grandma Ingram: Margaret Alice (Chezem) b: 27 JUL 1866?? Cumberland Co., Il. d: 27 JUL 1909(??) also buried Tyro Cemetery (per family rumor). I have tried Pine Bluff and Monticello with no luck. Even if you don't have family listed in them via the search engine, they are fascinating. My favorite was the man in 1922 that tried to show he was insane by sticking a whole bunch of tobacco in his mouth to cause him to froth! LOL More obits have been added and will slowly add photos, if you have submitted an obit and have a picture, get in touch with me and I will post it. 3 weeks and 1 day until Christmas and I can't wait! I love this time of year! Wendy

    1. [ARLINCOL] Happy Thanksgiving
    2. I AM THANKFUL....... ...for the taxes that I pay because it means that I am employed. ...for the mess to clean after a party because it means I have been surrounded by friends. ...for the clothes that fit a little too snug because it means I have enough to eat. ...for my shadow who watches me work because it means I am out in the sunshine. ...for a lawn that needs mowing, windows that need cleaning and gutters that need fixing because it means I have a home. ...for all the complaining I hear about government because it means we have freedom of speech. ...for the spot I find at the far end of the parking lot because it means I am capable of walking. ...for my huge heating bill because it means I am warm. ...for the lady behind me in church who sings off key because it means that I can hear. ...for the piles of laundry and ironing because it means I have clothes to wear. ...for weariness and aching muscles at the end of the day because it means I have been productive. ...for the alarm that goes off in the early morning hours because it means that I am alive. ...for getting too much e-mail because it lets me know I have friends who are thinking of me. HAPPY THANKSGIVING !!!
