She is an elderly lady in rural TX and is looking for the birth county of a George HARBEN who was on the 1880 soundex in Franks, St. Francis county, ARK. Both he and his wife (Mary Elizabeth Williams) say they were from TN; they were married in Lee county 2/27/1876. Does anyone actually live in Lee county or have access to a deed index for Lee county? I would like to know if any HARBEN family lived in Lee county in the 1870's - their first deed buying property should by rights tell where they lived before that and it might put me on the right track for George's family. At times like this I sure wish I lived in Salt Lake City and could just go downtown and look things up in the library, but I don't and would really appreciate your help for this woman.
