Hello Karen Stone, The name "BOWDEN" caught my eye...maybe you can help me. My Grandmother was born in Marianna in 1868. Her name was Emma Martha Ray, daughter of Christopher C. Ray. She gave the name BOWDEN as a middle name to a son and a daughter...very strange. Could her mother have been a BOWDEN? Do you have a BOWDEN who married a RAY at the end of the Civil War?
