But then I have nothing on William Crawford Bates family. For all I know, he could have been an orphan. He, in my line ) was suppose to have had a brother named Matt. But it seems like all I find is dead ends on this family,and on his wife's family. (Her name was Francis Emily Edwards). This is from word of mouth from older family members.
