Looking for information on the Thompsons who moved to Lee Co AR from TN. This obit was found among some keepsakes belonging to a cousin...no date shown: "BRINKLEY-Mrs. Clara Ellen Hardin, 84, widow of L.M. Hardin, died yesterday at a Forrest City hospital. Services will be at 2 P.M. today at Salem Methodist Church in the Salem community in Lee County. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery with Wylie-Fowler Funeral Home of Brinkley in charge." Clara was Clara Ellen Thompson, daughter of Thomas and Sarah Wilkinson Thompson. Did she have any children? Have the cemeteries of Lee County AR been published? Any information or contacts from descendants gratefully received. pat vincent

Posted on: Lee Co. Ar Queries Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/USA/Ar/Lee/10 Surname: Gatewood, Pasquale, Jackson, Current, Currant ------------------------- Gatewood descendant looking for information on all of the above who at one time lived in Marianna, Arkansas, Lee County. Mayhew Gatewood is my grandfather. He married Ella Current (Currant) Jackson. She used both last names. Mayhew's parents were Green and Laura Gatewood. Mayhew had four siblings: John (Jack), Amos whose wife was Cora, Edward whose wife was Carrie, and Delia. After Green's death, year unknown, Laura remarried a man by the name of Aaron Pasquale,(I'm not sure of the exact spelling of his last name),it is believed. Aaron entered the marriage with a son, Henry, I believe, and together Aaron and Laura had a son Sebron. I may have the names of these two sons reversed, but have been searching for these roots for years. Any info would be greatly appreciated, especially info on Green and Laura Gatewood. I know there has to be more Gatewoods from this union than just my family! Respond to psummers@cradle.org Many Thanks......

Hellooooooooooooooo! Is anyone even on this list! I sent an e-mail to this list several days ago and haven't heard anything on here since. Just in case someone is listening, I am trying to find a George W. lawson that died in Marianna sometime between 1928-1936. Is there a database somewhere with Lee County deaths? thanks, Marlene Lawson
I learned today that an index of Lee County cemeteries was published in 1998. Can anyone tell me more about it? It is a transcription of names and dates on headstones, correct? Not just a list of the names of the cemeteries? Does it include Marianna's two cemeteries? Can anyone do a lookup for me in the index? Thanks, Steve
