I'm trying to track down my grandparents in the 1930 census. 2 down and 2 to go. Anyway, I'm pretty sure my grandma was born in Lee County in 1922 and then the family stayed there at least until after my mom was born in 1948 so I am thinking that my grandma should be in the Lee County census. I checked all of Marianna city and no luck. What I am thinking is that possibly grandma's family was in a surrounding township of Marianna as this is what happened when looking for my grandpa's family in Polk County, AR. Does anyone know the townships that surround Marianna? Thanks.

His description in his pension application says he was a mulatto, 5' 8" with gray eyes. Jack DANSBY married Mary FLOURNOY in New Albany, then Pontotoc Co, now Union Co, MS in 1861. Their daughter Mary was born there in 1872. Mary FLOURNOY DANSBY died there in 1874. Jack and his daughter moved on. He remarried to a widow Laura Williams (maiden name GUY) in TN and eventually relocated to St Francis Co and Lee Co Arkansas. She already had a son Charley WILLIAMS Jack's brother Taylor DANSBY also relocated to Arkansas. Jack's daughter Mary married Pickens STRINGFELLOW.about 1890 in AR, so they were there by then. Jack died in Memphis, TN in 1921. In his will he names his wife Flora, brother Taylor DANSBY, daughter Mary Lee STRINGFELLOW, sister in law Callie JOHNSON. He also gives ten acres each to : Martha MALONE, Dazilee Ice, Bettie DAVIS & Gertude NORTHCROSS. I believe Gertude to be a niece or sister....not sure yet about the others. He also names a Johnnie DANSBY. I still haven't located Taylor's death record. Does anyone know where they lived in TN, and when they arrived in AR? In 1900 in St Francis Co AR there were: Erastus DANSBY 24 Jessie DANSBY, 17 living with Joseph and Lillie WARFIELD. Their relationship was listed as brother-in-law. Does anyone know how or if these fit in to the Taylor or Jack DANSBY families? Does anyone know if and/or how Rep. Lewellen is connected to the DANSBY/STRINGFELLOW family? Is anyone else working on DANSBY and FLOURNOY in MS, TN or AR?
